If you’re ready to start hormones, you’ve probably already faced barriers; gatekeeping, medicalization, being asked to “prove” who you are. These systems often treat us like problems to be solved, not people to be trusted.
With me, this process is about affirmation and empowerment. In two sessions, we’ll sit together while you share your story, your gender journey, your hopes, and your concerns. I’ll walk you through what to expect, answer your questions, and provide the letter you need for gender-affirming care.

This isn’t about judgment. It’s about standing with you as you take your next step.

A: A Hormone Readiness Assessment is a supportive conversation designed to help you access gender-affirming hormone therapy. The process involves two 50-minute sessions where we talk about your gender journey, health history, and goals for hormone care. After our sessions, I write a report (often called a “readiness letter”) that you can take to your healthcare provider to start or continue hormone treatment..

Q: How are the sessions structured?

A: Session 1: We’ll talk about your background, identity, experiences, and what brings you to this point in your gender journey.

Session 2: We’ll review hormone options, potential effects, and any concerns or questions you have.
After the second session, I’ll prepare your assessment report.

Q: How long does the process take?

 A: You’ll complete two sessions, scheduled at least one day apart. After the final session, your report will be ready within 5–7 business days. You’ll receive a draft to review and can suggest any changes before I finalize and sign it.
